- Harvard Dataverse Repository user accounts can be granted roles that define which actions they are allowed to take on specific collections, datasets, and/or files:
    
    
    - Permissions: Decide read/write access to add datasets, create collections, or access files
    - Users/Groups: Assign administrative/curator roles to specific users or groups
    - Roles: List of available roles and the read/write capabilities they allow
        
        
        - For example: Research Assistant as a “Contributor” who can “EditDataset” but not “PublishDataset”
