Getting Started in the Harvard Dataverse Repository (Journals)
Date and Time
Location
We are pleased to invite Journals to participate in a focused training session on using the Harvard Dataverse Repository to manage and share research data associated with publications.
This training is specifically intended for journals that:
- Publish research data (e.g., quantitative/qualitative datasets, code, documentation) related to publications.
- Are interested in enabling or enhancing data sharing by their authors.
Please note that our support and services focus exclusively on the research data associated with publications, not on hosting or managing the publications themselves.
If your journal has, or plans to have, research data available for sharing, we would be delighted to include you in this session.
For participating journals, we will:
- Create a dedicated collection (Dataverse) for your journal within Harvard Dataverse, branded with your journal’s name.
- Provide step-by-step guidance and template instructions for your authors on how to deposit their data associated with accepted publications.
- Demonstrate best practices for data organization, documentation (metadata), access controls, and citation, so that your journal can establish clear, sustainable data policies.
